Morocco Tourist Centre
The ONMT being the emblem of Morocco in France, the facade
of its headquarters will be the showcase of these assets and values, for both
Parisians and visitors of passage. It seemed essential to us that the proposal
be based on a definition both strong and emblematic of the facade at ground
floor level. To do this, we have designed an original and interactive facade,
which reinterprets in a way contemporary moucharabieh: a traditional motif that
unfolds in a fractal. Like the moucharabieh, our facade is an assembly of
patterns that has multiple functions: the glass tiles forming the patterns can indeed
change opacity, receive projections, and respond to movements passers-by or sun
protection needs. Our facade proposal is therefore different from what all
passing usually perceive in Parisian streets, while reinventing Moroccan
heritage from the angle of modernity and sustainable development.
The heart of our planning process is that this ambitious and versatile becomes in itself an urban event, which attracts visitors from any edge, and whose architectural innovation becomes a model of integration between technology, traditional method and sustainability on an international scale. Our unique and original facade proposal will therefore ensure that ONMT Headquarters becomes a must-see in the capital.
